Transparent Polycarbonate / Lexan™ Sheets
Use these polycarbonate sheets for all your custom machine guarding needs. They are made of the same material as safety glasses.
Polycarbonate is highly robust, lightweight with glass-like transparency, and impact-resistant – even at low temperatures. It also has high dimensional stability and is easily molded, yet displays excellent heat resistance with a glass transition temperature of up to 148ºC.
Advantages of Polycarbonate
- It has very high impact resistance and is excellent for safety guarding usage.
- Easy to cut or drill
- Light transmission properties that are comparable to glass.
- Lightweight: polycarbonate weighs about half that of glass equivalent.
